2009 Bike MS Ride, Fall Breakaway
We are excited to announce that in additional to our Mountain Bike Event on September 12th we will be offering a one day road ride!
All roads are paved and the routes are designed to offer something for everyone of all cycling abilities. If you are looking for a flat, easy ride then try our 12 mile route located all within Island Lake Recreation Area. Our 24 miles route will take you into Kensington Metro Park and allow you to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. Looking for something more challenging? Then try out 45 mile route that will take you out around the GM proving grounds in Milford and up what some riders affectionately refer to as “Mt. Kensington”.
Remember, if you are looking for a mountain bike event we’ll be offering that as well with trails of 5 and 9 miles that you can ride all day between 9 am and 3pm.
All routes start and finish at the Dodge Pavilion at Island Lake Recreation Area. Check in opens at 8:30 am and the routes open at 9am.
Registration fee for the event is $20 per person and the minimum pledge due by September 30th is $250.
