THREE BIKE RIDES ONE DESTINATION: Creating a world free of MS
Team Up NOW For More Fun!
Teams are a vital part of our success, accounting for 75% of the funds raised for Bike MS. Last year, 108 teams participated in Bike MS and raised more than $826,000 to help support people living with MS in Michigan
What Is A Team? A team consists of a captain and at least three additional team members. A team falls into one of three categories: Corporate, Friends & Family, Organization. The team captain leads, organizes, and manages the team. The team members can include co-workers, friends, family, neighbors, etc. More team members = more funds raised to fund MS programs, services, and research.
Set A Fundraising Goal. An entry level team is encouraged to raise a minimum of $1,000 (4 team members, each raising the $250 minimum). The average Bike MS team raised $5,509 last year in Michigan. Set a goal for your team to be above average in 2009 and help more people with MS!
Sign Me Up!If you would like to start a new team or build an existing team, please contact Patti Radzik at (248) 936-0342 or teamms@mig.nmss.org to involve us in your plans. The National MS Society provides resources, online tools, and staff support to assist with team recruitment and fundraising efforts.
“Being a team captain gives greater impact for the Society, brings cycling health benefits to a wide group of people, and is a lot more fun than riding solo! Having a team also allows us to come up with cool jersey designs which riders really enjoy.” ~ Ed Rightor, Team Captain Team Dow/TCC (Bike MS)
